Prevent clothes from shrinking – laundry tips
Almost everyone had a problem with their new clothes that are shrinking after been washed and this is really annoying. You surely feel it is very annoying when saw the clothes that you just bought to become shrinking because your careless mistake. Here are few tips that will help you to prevent your clothes from shrinking and waste your money.
- Follow the cleaning instruction on your clothes labels. Read the instruction and follow them.
- If it happens, you can lessen the shrink by cold water wash with cleaner special for cold water.
- When placing in the dryer, do not apply high heat but alternatively use permanent press because hotness can cause clothes to shrink.
- Prevent clothes from shrinking by buying only pre-washed clothes only.
- Clothes that has 80 % cotton and 20% polyester usually can shrink by 80%. This is because pure cotton clothes easily shrink but not polyester. To against the shrinkage factor, ensure that all the wrinkles are gone and clothes not too dry by toss the clothes into the dryer. Stretch the clothes gently to slow down shrinkage factor.
